An all-conference player is moving across the interstate to join the Colorado State women’s basketball team.
Former Northern Colorado guard Hannah Simental has signed with the Rams after transferring from UNC.
Simental is a Pueblo native and spent the last four seasons with the Bears. She was second-team All-Big Sky in 2023-24 after shooting 39% from 3-point range and finishing second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game.
For her career she’s averaged 12.6 points per game with a high of 14.7 in 2021-22, and she’s a career 40% 3-point shooter.
Simental has played 115 career games in college with 113 starts. She was second-team All-Big Sky as a sophomore and third-team as a junior before second-team again her senior year. She’ll have one year to play with the Rams.
“Hannah is an experienced and talented player that can play multiple perimeter positions and affect the game in a variety of different ways,” CSU coach Ryun Williams said in a news release. “She has been very productive her entire collegiate career and her ability to make plays as well as really shoot it will be fun to coach. The way she sees the game is next level and I love that she thrives at making those around her better.”
It’s the second transfer of the week for the CSU women’s basketball team after the Rams landed All-Big East player Emma Ronsiek.
