The 2023 TYR Pro Swim Series Fort Lauderdale stop continued on Thursday with the Day 2 finals.
The meet is loaded with U.S. Olympians and national team members as well as several international stars.
On tap for the evening is the 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 50 backstroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle.
Here is a look at the events:
100 Freestyle
Dylan Carter used a quick start and strong finish to win the men’s event in the 100 free. He got to the wall in 48.28 to hold off a surging Matthew Richards, who got to the wall in 48.48.
Hunter Armstrong was third in 48.95.
100 Breaststroke
Nic Fink used a late burst of speed to overtake Michael Andrew on the back half of the 100 breaststroke and win by a hundredth of a seconds.
Fink got to the wall in 59.97 and Andrew was at 59.98.
They are the top times in the world this year.
Cody Miller wasn’t far behind, taking third in 1:00.12.
