VANCOUVER, British Columbia – The UFC 289 main event is official after two-division champion Amanda Nunes and Mexican contender Irene Aldana made weight Friday morning.
Nunes (22-5 MMA, 15-2 UFC) and Aldana (14-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) hit the women’s bantamweight mark at the UFC host hotel, with the champion and challenger both registering at 135 pounds.

UFC 289 takes place Saturday at Rogers Arena. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
