Noè Ponti unleashed a 50.16 blast in the 100 fly to go sixth all-time at the Swiss Championships in Uster.
The Olympic bronze medallist split 23.82/26.34 in the prelims to take 0.58secs from his previous Swiss record of 50.74 en-route to third in Tokyo.
It takes him top of the 2024 rankings, 0.45 clear of Australian Matt Temple who went 50.61 last month.
It follows his 22.65 effort in the 50 fly which also propelled him to sixth in the rankings.
